A few things that make a submission easy to use:

• Shoot sideways (landscape) when you can, and hold steady for video.

• Give your camera lens a quick wipe before you shoot — we're not pros, but a clean lens makes everything look way better.

• Get a quick yes from anyone clearly in the photo before sending — especially guests. (If not, I'll blur them out.)

• One line of context goes a long way. "Maria hit 5 years today" beats a photo with no story every time.

• If anyone featured has a LinkedIn, send the profile link too, making it easy to tag them.
